You have a plan, and you stick to it. BBSM helped develop that plan, sway community sentiment, find investors and ultimately build one of the finest minor league ballparks in America. From ballpark planning and signage to the design of all team identity, uniforms, mascots, and sponsorship development and naming rights.
High Point Rockers, Atlantic League - The city of High Point, North Carolina was looking to develop a minor league ballpark as the catalyst of a downtown revitalization project and BBSM became a partner in this amazing development project. Working with the architects on title sponsor signage and wayfinding signs to developing the new team's brand, marks, uniforms, marketing assets, and strategy, BBSM successfully launched another expansion franchise to rave reviews.
NHL, ALTERNATE TEAM UNIFORM DESIGN
The Carolina Hurricanes' challenge; to create an alternative uniform design that brings a definitive contrast to the red and white home and away uniforms, builds excitement around the 12 home games it is worn and creates a new revenue opportunity through retailing a new product line to fans. Solution; develop an all black uniform from head to toe and do it in cooperation with Reebok designers as they develop an entirely new uniform system including high-performance materials and streamlined cuts. The design was viewed as one of the most successful alternate uniform launches and continues to rank at the top of sales of jerseys and in fan polling.
A7FL, DIRECT CREATIVE AND MARKETING
American 7s Football League - This emerging professional football league differentiates itself from other leagues by playing full tackle 7-on-7 football but with no helmets or pads. As a core member of the executive team, BBSM has worked with brand development, marketing strategy, sales development, crowdfunding, and creative design. One aspect of that was creating 20 new team identities for 5 new divisions within 3 months. This entailed creative development with multiple stakeholders and division owners, managing multiple designers simultaneously, and maintaining a consistent yet diverse presentation across the league.
REPOSITION BRAND AND ONLINE STRATEGY
Buster Sports had a great concept for online sports content but a poor online business model, and a non-defined brand. By clearly defining the product line-up, target markets, and culture of the audience we needed to reach, we were able to outline business, marketing, and technology objectives in a comprehensive, actionable strategy. Once relaunched, BusterSports.com garnered upwards of 24% growth week over week. The company was purchased and rolled into a large media company.
